Teamwork makes the wings work! 💪🤩
Over 11,500 wings sold! Takk fyrir!

We wanted to thank our 🇺🇸 USA wing team for such an unbelievable accomplishment, winning both Best in Show and Festival Favorite for most wings sold!

This group of Icelanders (Lyður Vignisson and Nonni Mæju), friends and family of co-owner Justin Shouse from Erie, PA which includes restaurant owners Tim Grow (Que Abides), Pat Doran (Reservoir 26) and Jon Michael (Manager Discount B**r)..

Also featuring restaurant owner and former 🏀 teammate Stephen Horner (Propaganda Pie, Slow Groovin BBQ) who traveled from Colorado to help us out!

Three years ago we came in 2nd place in Festival Favorite, two years ago we came in 3rd place..

This group was motivated and wanted that Festival Favorite so we reorganized our service line, streamlined our sauce lineup and the service crew up front of Michelle Michael, Ashley Lawson, Erika Berlin, Michael Berlin, Vladimir Yvan and Bryan Horvat kept the line moving quickly, efficiently and with a warmth and enthusiasm that the customers appreciated and enjoyed! They were truly amazing!

Thank you to co-owner Justin Shouse’s parents, Tom and Sandy, Uncle Jim (Uncle Jam Band) Horvat, his brother TJ, nephew Alex, his cousin Marc Lawson (aka Marky 5 Trays)!

We ❤️ and thank this group for all of their energy and passion for our product and we thank our 🇮🇸 Wing Team for holding it down at our 3 locations in Iceland while we are away competing!!!

This group does everything from winning Regional Emmy Awards, to helping refugees in the Erie area, to nursing, teaching, hot air balloon rides and so much more!

Best Sauce of All the Sauces!

Day 2 at Wingfest was incredible, Winning Best in Show for a historic 3rd time was mind blowing 🤯! The award winning Bayside Buffalo Lemon Honey is now available at all 3 locations!

Thank you to all the judges, Wing King Drew Cerza and his team, Khalil Shakir, all the social media influencers and most importantly, THE FESTIVAL GOERS for a SPECTACULAR SUNDAY at Wingfest!

Day 1 🇺🇸 Wingfest 🏆🤩🏆
What a day for the 25th Anniversary of Wingfest! 2 trophy’s and a lot of wings sold!

Day 1 at the was an absolute blast! Beautiful day, wonderful people, flavor, fun and a couple of trophy’s!

We were one of the busiest tents on Day 1, with our award winning French Toast coming back for second round at the festival! Ghost Pepper Wing Tang was awarded its 1st Festival 🏆 in the Best Creative Spicy Cartegory!

Just Wingin it Iceland wins big at the 25th Anniversary of the National Buffalo Wing Festival

What an amazing weekend in Buffalo NY! Thank you to the thousands of people who came, our wing team had an absolute blast serving the 11,500 wings we sold!

We won in the two biggest categories, Best in Show sauce and Festival Favorite for the most wings sold! NATIONAL CHAMPIONS in both!

With so many great competitors from all over the world, we knew we had to bring our best and we are grateful to the Wingfest-goers and the judges for giving us a chance to compete and to eat with us!

Here’s a quick breakdown:
- FESTIVAL FAVORITE: We sold the most wings with over 11,500 to win Festival Favorite
- BEST IN SHOW: Best sauce of all the sauces went to our Bayside Buffalo Lemon Honey, number 1 out of over 100 other sauces 🤯! It’s been off menu for 6 months, that will be adjusted soon!
- We won 4 other awards that we will post about later

Thank you to our amazing 🇺🇸 wing team and our incredible 🇮🇸 wing team for holding it down while we come and compete in this festival!

Thank you to the festival staff, the organizers Wing King Drew Cersa and Chrissy Kiebzak and all the vendors and supporting sponsors for putting together such a spectacular event!

Wing King Pregame Routine! 🤩
Blue Cheese Chalk Toss! Treasure Cave + the Wing King + JWi is an undefeated combo!

Wing King Drew Cersa channeled his inner King James and joined JWi co owner Justin Shouse for a blue cheese chalk toss in honor of the 25th Anniversary of the National Buffalo Wing Festival!

Come by the JWi tent for blue cheese crumbles on any sauce or take a blue cheese crumble shot as a chaser after a big bite!

Just Wingin it is BACK at the National Buffalo Wing Festival for the 25th Anniversary! The Great American road trip is finished, going from Willie Nelson to the Wu Tang Clan was amazing and now and we are ready for the action!
