A rich dish of cream and kajus, this curry is mild and on the sweet side. Cashews are used both for the thick, tomato-based gravy, as well as whole, with the vegetables. Best enjoyed with a tandoori roti, naan or parantha, you’ll find even the kids will love it!

The famous confectioners in Kolkata, K.C. Das Grandsons claim the dish was invented by their founder K.C.Das but it’s impossible to verify this statement. Yet one thing is certain: if you have a sweet tooth, you can’t refuse a Rasmalai! Soft & spongy chhena (cottage cheese) patties are cooked in sugar syrup and then soaked in a creamy rabri mixture enriched with saffron and dry fruits. Mmmmm…divine!

Although some oil/ghee is added to make a smooth, soft dough, the parantha is cooked in a tandoor so it’s lower on calories and comes to your table with that appetizing aroma of the coal-fired tandoor. Tuck into a tandoori parantha, accompanied by a raita and pickle, and you’ll go home a happy, satiated customer!
