Independence Day has always been about more than a holiday. It’s the feeling of coming together- with family, with friends, with the people you call home. Of remembering where we come from and celebrating what brings us together. 🇮🇳

At Jamun, that feeling has always lived on the table. In recipes from different corners of India, in flavours that remind you of someone’s home, in dishes that are made to be shared, passed around and remembered later.

This Independence Day, come celebrate with us by the beach with our special festive menu of thalis, tricolour mocktails and a sweet rasmalai ending, available till tomorrow only.

And if you are just taking a walk by Jamun Cove, stop by our Jamun On-The-Go stall for chaat, vada pav and kulfi by the beach.

At Jamun, a meal is rarely only about what’s on the main plate. There’s always something to sip between conversations, and something sweet everyone insists they have no room for, before reaching for another spoonful.

Alongside our Azadi Thaali, there’s Orange Blossom, a creamy Piña Colada and Spicy Kairi with a little kick. To finish, rasmalai with saffron, pistachios and silky rabdi mousse.

Our thalis have always brought together flavours from across India. This Independence Day, they’re wearing the colours of it too. 🇮🇳

At the heart of our Independence Day Specials is the Jamun Azadi Thali- lasooni palak, smoked paneer makhani, seasonal vegetables, freshly fried pooris and a comforting bowl of kheer, with saffron, white and green finding their way across the plate.

Familiar flavours, a little colour for the occasion and the sort of meal that calls for an extra poori before you’re done.

🇮🇳 One country, countless kitchens.

The food changes every few hundred kilometres - the flavours, the recipes, even the way the same spice is used.

The pepper that warms a rasam in the South, the mustard that finds its way into a Bengali kitchen, the cardamom and cinnamon that perfume dishes further North. Sometimes the spices change with the region, and sometimes it’s the same familiar spice, treated entirely differently from one kitchen to the next.

There’s something wonderfully nostalgic about that. So many of us grew up recognising these aromas before we ever knew their names- whole spices hitting hot oil, the crackle of a tadka, haldi staining wooden spoons and fingertips.

At Jamun, that’s always been the joy of cooking across regions- recipes from homes and kitchens across India, different in so many ways, yet somehow familiar.

This Independence Day, a little celebration of the flavours that have always brought us home.

It’s always the little details that bring a place together. The brass on the table, the colours on the walls, flowers tucked into corners, old Indian motifs and little things you may not notice on your first visit.
