Thank you .goa for putting colours in our black and white quarantine life.

They make organic handmade donuts.They deliver around goa and can be sent as a gift too.

The donuts were just yumm and worth a try. For our foodiesgoa followers we have a special coupon code
"foodiesgoa2020". This code entitles you to 6 donuts for the price of 5.
The coupon code is valid till 13th of June 2020. So hurry up.

1. Custard filled chocolate donut :
The chocolate donut with custard at its heart.
The donut was very soft and was fully filled with custard inside.

2. The Rainbow Dot:
A traditional style donut topped with cashew cream.

3. Sweet chicken donut:
This donut was filled with chicken. It was totally unexpected and innovative donut and impresses us a lot.

There are 3 more donuts which they sent us, we shall put them up in the next post.

Visited Watermark 'A floating restaurant' last week
And it was truly an amazing experience.
We were served with some lip smacking starters.
The taste and quantity served has improved since our last visit (last year).
It's the best place if you want to take your better half on a date. 😜

The service was bit not upto the mark, but manager was really friendly and polite.

Ambience is 10/10.
Food taste is 9/10

Fat Freddy's Colva
Had chicken roast pizza at recently. It was one the thinnest crust I found in Goa.
It was really yummy. We had burgers and fries too.

Burgers are made with multigrain bread and one burger huge is enough to feed two people.

Ambience and service is amazing. Luckily had a chance to meet the owner, who is also a dentist. A very friendly guy with a wide smile on the face.

This cafe is a must visit for burger and pizza lovers.

Visited Nashta Box in Dona Paula. Tried this Grilled vada pav and it was damn tasty. Surprisingly the owner (not from Goa) complained about non availability of good 'pao' in Goa. Then we gave him all the references to the bakeries and poders in and around Panjim followed by the facts stating Goa's fame for pao and it's varieties

, Candolim invited us for the sunday brunch. They offer variety of food ranging from pizzas, pasta, waffles, cocktails. Assorted pizzas were really yum and we just loved it.

Chillada is a small restaurant in Calangute which looks calm and mediocre from the outside.

For starters we had ordered prawns chilly fry and calamari butter garlic.
Prawns chilly fry was okay, like any other restaurant, nothing special about it.
But calamari dish was too good. We really liked it. The perfectly cooked squids tasted really good with their butter garlic gravy.

For the main course we had ordered beef steak and chicken pasta marinara.
The Beef steak was cooked nicely and it was served with potato mash, veggies and beef sauce.

There was limited choice for the desserts.

Coming to the ambience. It was not so crowded. It was a calm place along the busy streets of Calangute and the soft music added to the beauty of that place.

Mother's Recipe at Benaulim

Goan Fish thali is probably the first choice of majority of Goans as well as tourists in Goa. Two days back we ran a survey to find out best fish thalis and someone replied with Mother's recipe. And I realised that I failed to blog about probably the tastiest and pocket friendly Thali I ate. I have been there twice, once I had Chonok and second time Tarle (in the pic). So this is a small restaurant, run by a family in benaulim, near papayes corner. Unlike other restaurants who just have 3-4 choices; this restaurant serves wide variety of fish including Tarle, bombil , Chonak, morso, kingfish,sungta, verlyo and lot more. And they even served sukdo bombil, (dry fish ) 😮, which was something unique and gives homely feeling. Also the restaurant is very much pocket friendly and that makes it a must visit location.
PS: it's a family restaurant type and they don't serve alcohol
