Women Restaurant Owners Reclaiming Space In The Industry

Since time immemorial, women have been known to cook scrumptious meals in their home kitchens. However, the kitchens generating business, or restaurants in layman’s terms, have been largely ruled by male chefs and restaurateurs. Women restaurant owners for one reason or another have always been a rare breed. This stands true not just for India but the world over.

Breaking the stereotypes, women are now taking their culinary skills outside their home kitchens and are using their talent and entrepreneurial drive to take major strides in the hospitality industry.

In a country with more than a billion people, opportunities in India are abound. There is almost a complete absence of national chains, except of few cafes, three – four international chains and a few regional chains. These opportunities need to be harnessed and converted into profitable enterprises.

Sensing the opportunities in QSR space our team of Women Entrepreneurs started operations in 2017 under the brand “Jules – Makes You Drool” and now ready to roll out Franchisees across India.
