Being an owner operated business, we are very particular about how things are done. Right from the sourcing of ingredients, to how the food is cooked and served, great care is taken to make the experience nourishing. We are aware of the menace of GMO, hormone enric

hed and antibiotic saturated food available in India, and the lack of regulation regarding the same. So we follow one thumb rule at all times, “will I feed this to my child?”. Outmost care is taken to keep our food GMO free and wholesome. Though food comes first for us, wine is a close second. All wines are tasted first before they are added to our dynamic wine list. Our staff is educated and trained, and will gladly help you in choosing the right wine for the moment, we also offer a wide variety of both domestic and imported wines by the glass. Being in the heartland of Whisky country, we have a wide selection of whiskies to choose from, along with fine vodka and spirits. We also offer Craft Beer on tap along with a selection of imported bottled beer.

Punjabi Folk is rich in its tones and textures. From the melodious, almost like a lullaby to the almost raucous. With universal folk themes, as the land, a broken heart or the cool breeze, as the muse.

Sahil Jain, a self taught artist presents “Inflammable... at your own risk”, a solo art exhibition at Bistro 226, Ludhiana . The opening is on 22nd April 2018 at 5:00 pm.
He uses compositional imagery to create a lyrical emotion . He fills in the void created by the human materialism by a satirical approach which is paradoxically surrealistic and concrete .
Coldly and stealthily he pierces the sheathes of the human psyche and reveals its INFLAMMABLE core which has an inextinguishable lust to achieve power and money . He maintains a cool gentle persona and become miscible in the society and devouring all his opponent ruthlessly . They are so distinguished that it become almost impossible to recognize the savage lurking inside them .
ATTAINMENT OF THE POWER IS THE ONLY CEASEFIRE TO THIER EXPLOSIVE MINDS .

We are delighted to be hosting solo exhibitions by two of Ludhiana's talented artists.

“IMMISCIBLE - so I exist .”

Saru S, a self taught artist. The opening is on 22nd April 2018 at 5:00 pm.

Inflamed by the explicitly sanctimonious perspective of the human kind and creating a havoc in the biotic beings , Saru S dares to speak against the atrocities committed for the sake of materialism . She says, “I can hear and I see, so I have the guts to take a stand, not flee”
So in her artworks ‘The Parrot’ is personified as herself and speaks for the sentient beings . She sees so called humane slaughter being done for the taste buds and for the leather and skins skimmed off from the live ones . Perturbed, she raises her voice and go against the tide . She doesn’t want to be quiet while the sentient beings suffer excruciating pain . She condemns captivity, thus, making herself an IMMISCIBLE in the society which has become deaf, dumb and immune to someone’s pain .

Straws are on average used for just 20 minutes and, once disposed of, can spend several hundreds of years in a landfill site. Over the past 25 years disposable straws have routinely been one of the top 10 items found on beaches around the world during the International Coastal clean-up project. Yet many bars and restaurants relentlessly provide these for customers, sometimes even two at a time. We want to educate and engage with our customers about the environmental impact of ditching straws, and we are sure our customers will welcome it with open arms.
We are absolutely focused on decreasing our environmental impact wherever possible, which is why initiatives such as ‘war on straws’ are so important to us as we evolve as a brand. And we hope other operators follow in our footsteps.

Straws will still be available at Bistro226 on request, but will not be served as standard.
