ANZAC - Strong enough to survive the journey… but sweet enough to taste like home.
During the First World War, Aussie and Kiwi soldiers.the ANZACs—were thousands of miles from home. Families wanted to send them food… but the journey took weeks. Fresh bread? Spoiled. Cakes? Impossible.
The women back home came up with a solution. ANZAC cookies.
Made with oats, sugar, coconut, butter, golden syrup, and baking soda. no eggs, nothing that could go bad.
Strong enough to survive the long journey… yet sweet enough to taste like home.
Packed carefully in tins, these biscuits were more than just food. they were a reminder to every soldier that home is never too far.
Today, an ANZAC biscuit isn’t just a snack. it’s a symbol of history, resilience, and remembrance. baked into every bite.
