A Dark Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Ganache filling n frosting.This was a birthday gift to a lil angel so no such story guys. Its like she came to me n directly asked me "Pi wat r u baking fr me today its my bday". Wat else can beat dos cute words.(a late upload although. Sometimes a bit lazy me n its my wellwishers who r constantly poking me to upload my work. So kept ur words guys. You guys are my motivation. Thankz a ton.)

It was on 13th of Feb, Shilpi, my childhood friend came to me. At around 12 pm she says to me dat at midnight they are planning to celebrate her man's bday n for that she needs a cake by 8 pm. I said atcha. Next shock that came to me was that Manas(the bday boy) doesnt like cake. So she asked me if i can make a different flavour for him. After thinking for a while finally i thought of making a Lemon curd layer cake with Lemon Curd filling n Swiss Meringue Buttercream. The assents are of fondant. I kept the colour sky blue as it goes very much with the personality of d bday boy. He is fond of reading books n crazy about cricket n is fond of beer.

I was keeping my fingers crossed wondering how would Manas react with the cake. But finally got a confirmation that d bday boy luved d cake vry much both the presentation n the flavour. Happy me.

Its was our 1st Valentines Day here @ The Salvage Yard.. n we got a very gud response. The day was well spent by couples who enjoyed the romantic ambience n also friends came togerther and had fun over our yummilecious momos, pasta, fried rice, chilly chicken, chilly prawns n etc n etc n etc the list doesnt end. However i culd manage to collect a few memories of yesterday.

Happy Valentines Day to one n all. Love is in the air. Today all lovers are at their best to make this day a really very special one for their loved ones. The girls, i suppose are by now all prefectly dressed up to look their best n guys busy shopping the best gifts n flowers for their loved ones. I was also busy since yesterday but not buying gift for my lover but for buying stufff to decorate my" Salvage Yard ". You guys might be thinking how boring this lady is. But what to do? My valentine is far away from me, he couldnt manage to come here n be with me. So i decided why no i make this day a special one for all my guest. So had decorated my Salvage Yard with ballons n all tables have got floating candles with rose petals. The perfect date...

Today my 1st Character Themed Cake went out of my kitchen. Pari Saikia came to me and ordered me a Chocolate cake n had asked me if i culd make a Minnion cake as her cousin sister Rimi who was turning 13 dis year is very much fond of Minnion.
The inside is a dark chocolate cake with chocolate ganache frosting.

I had not worked with fondant earlier but wanted to try my hands on it. When the cake took its shape i was really very satisfied.

I had already recieved a feedback dat the bday girl ws very much happy to see her fav Minnion in d form of a cake. And everybody including their grandma were very much happy n they liked the flavour as well.
