You will always be remembered not for your position, but for your attitude.
One of the best inspiration I have ever felt in my life.
Cost of Meals, Venue and Time doesn't matter.
But how we spend our precious time with loved ones really matters a lot.
Being kind and generous with others is really important in our life.

SHIFT IN INDIAN WEDDING BUSINESS… Here are some statistics to think about.
- India hosts 10 million weddings each year.
- Our wedding industry is the second largest in the world.
- A record US$139 billion will be spent on wedding services this year.

Earlier weddings were designed to cater to, “samaaj to kya pasand aayega” mindset. Today, it’s increasingly about,” humein kya yaad rahega” mindset. The samaaj is still part of the celebration but the couple wants to own the story.

That isn't just a wedding trend. It’s a consumer mindset shift.

Indian shaadis are now about more than just band, baja & baraat. Wedding planners are increasingly becoming ‘experience’ curators. New businesses are emerging around wedding design, creative consulting, hospitality, photography and event production. The interesting part is not just the growth of wedding economy. It’s the shift in what consumers are willing to pay for. From ‘make it grand’ to ‘make it personal and memorable’.

As celebrations become larger, more personalised, and destination-driven, demand is rising for wedding designers, photographers, hospitality experts, stylists, production teams, and other niche professionals. In fact, modern weddings now resemble large-scale projects that require months of planning and coordination among multiple specialists. The growth of destination weddings has also opened new opportunities for hotels, travel firms, local artisans, and service providers. The interesting part is not just the growth of the wedding economy. It's the shift in what consumers are willing to pay!!

UPI has changed the way India pays. But should convenience now come with a charge?

UPI’s biggest strength has always been its simplicity — instant, interoperable and largely frictionless payments.

Any move to introduce charges on UPI transactions needs to carefully balance:

Consumer convenience

Cost recovery for banks and payment infrastructure

Impact on small merchants and digital adoption

Financial inclusion

The question isn't simply “Should UPI be charged?”

It is: Who should bear the cost of maintaining one of India’s most important digital public infrastructures — and how can we do it without weakening the very ecosystem that made UPI successful?

GEN Z & GEN ALPHA …….. The Gen Z followed by the Gen Alpha telling us what all is wrong that being so basic in nature is indeed concerning for most of is..
The protest by Gen Alpha is a new and a rare development. Youngsters some as young as 6 years squatting on the roads demanding not luxury items but things as basic as working toilets, classrooms where roof does not fall through, availability of teachers, atleast a semblence of cleanliness and a bit of safety and concern for students in their schools, the government schools. Is it not the duty of governments to deliver a safe and secure environment, good civic governance, good schools with all basics in place and a system that cares for and provides for the masses. The failure in many areas like schools and civic governance is indeed concerning.
Obviously Governance is not only about rhetoric and freebies. It is about administering the nation and it's constituents well.
And so we have these protests, with the numbers increasing everyday and spreading like a virus, but a good one. Such viruses create an awakening that should lead to positive action that is sustainable. It is however paramount that the protests remain cause based, are not politicised and not hijacked by rowdy elements.
It is satisfying that the nation is finally awakening to nonsense dished out for far too long. This far and no further. The momentum should continue till at least workable basic infrastructure and systems are in place!! Your Comments!!

FSSAI RAIDS ON EATERIES……
Can food safety move from Raids to Readiness?
We are living through a period of heightened food-safety enforcement across the country.
This attention is important. When adulteration, expired food or unacceptable hygiene conditions are found, firm action is necessary.
The consumer must always be protected.
But 1 am concerned by a narrative that can sometimes place every food entrepreneur under the same lens-as though commercial interest and consumer well-being must naturally stand in opposition.
Most of us do not experience our work that way.
We feed the same food to our families. The trust attached to our name is not merely a commercial asset; it is deeply personal.
I say this from lived experience.

An inspection is a serious exercise. Yet its approach can determine whether it becomes a moment of learning or one dominated by fear.
When a team feels threatened, employees become anxious and management becomes defensive. An entrepreneur can leave feeling presumed to be at fault even before the complete process has concluded.
I respect the responsibility carried by Food Safety Departments. Businesses must remain open to inspection, correction and accountability.
But can this relationship become deeper than audits and enforcement alone?
Ingredients change. Shelf-life science evolves.
Packaging technologies and regulations keep changing. Reliable technical consultants can cost 750,000 to 21 lakh every month—far beyond what many small and medium businesses can afford.
If continuous compliance is expected from us, can continuous and affordable learning also be made accessible?

Can government bodies and industry associations help us understand safer ingredients, natural colours, shelf-life validation, packaging technologies and changing regulations before an inspection becomes our first point of learning?
The media, too, has an important role.
A product being sampled does not mean it has failed. A seizure is not necessarily a laboratory conclusion. A manufacturer, packer, marketer, distributor and seller may carry different responsibilities.
These distinctions are not an attempt to avoid accountability. They are essential to establishing it correctly.
I am not asking for fewer inspections or softer standards.
Inspect us rigorously. Help us understand where we must improve. Allow the prescribed process to conclude before public judgment becomes permanent.
I do not want the food industry and the Food Safety Department to stand on opposing sides.
We share the same ultimate responsibility: safe food and the confidence of the consumer.
This is not an accusation. It is an invitation to begin a deeper conversation.

KITCHEN SETTING…
I have seen banquet kitchens with the same issues.
Not enough equipment for peak load — so everyone's waiting on limited access.
No proper passage for staff — plating, service and cleaning all crossing the same narrow path during a rush.
Drainage that was never designed for how much water an actual shift produces. It floods, someone slips, service stops.
Hygiene that looks fine on inspection day but breaks down the moment raw and cooked sections aren't actually separated.
And cuisine sections crammed together —
Indian, Asian, European all sharing limited space.
None of this shows up when the kitchen is empty. It shows up when a buffet dish runs low and the replenishment route from the kitchen to the counter is the same path guests are walking through.
If you're setting one up — walk it with your ops team before anything is finalised. Ask them what breaks first.
What's the one thing your kitchen was never built for!

Hotel's Complimentary Breakfast:
It is the place where a man doesn't eat out of hunger, but with the feeling of recovering the money he paid for the room!
At home, two slices of toast are enough for breakfast, but the moment we pick up a plate at a hotel, the Chartered Accountant inside us wakes up.
First, we put some fruit on the plate because we have to look healthy, then right beside it, aloo paratha, idli, poha,
sausage,
and a tiny croissant whose identity we don't know, but since it's free, it deserves our respect.
As soon as the first plate runs out of space, we pick up a second one and tell ourselves, "This one is only for the omelette." The live-counter chef asks: vegetarian or % cheese,
Q onion, Atomato, Tchilli, O
mushroom!!
At this point, we are no longer ordering an omelette; we are providing enough information to choose a life partner.
Then we put bread into the toaster. It disappears downwards but never comes back out,
so we bend down and look inside the machine as if a child has fallen into a borewell.
Just then, someone else's burnt toast pops out from behind, and they look at you suspiciously, wondering what you did to their bread.
The coffee machine has six buttons!!
Press Espresso and two spoonfuls of sadness!!

I’ve noticed something about bad days.
They’re very good at making everything else suddenly feel bad too.
A meeting goes wrong. Someone disappoints you. A plan falls apart. Before you know it, your mind starts telling you that everything is going wrong. But is it really?
Or did one difficult hour quietly take over what was otherwise a perfectly good day?
MY THOUGHTS ... I’ve started asking myself that question. Because most of the time, the answer is obvious.
The people I love are still there. The work I care about is still waiting for me. Tomorrow is still coming.
One bad meeting is still just one bad meeting. One setback is still just one setback , is just that.
I’ve realised that life rarely falls apart as quickly as our minds convince us it has.
So whenever things don’t go my way, I try to zoom out before I react.
It doesn’t make the problem disappear. It just reminds me that my life is always bigger than the problem.
And somehow… that’s usually enough to keep moving.
