Overwhelmed with the TUK TUK Thailand festival at Nasi and Mee this evening .... Thanks to Chef Sadesh Babu who has taken over as Citi Head Chef of Nasi and Mee Chennai - Kochi !

Service was outstanding though the the entire restaurant was packed with guests and every dish was presented on time with a lot of professionalism and that’s the strength of Chef Sadesh Babu who has been a professor earlier and keeps the Team spirit going .

TUK TUK Thailand menu is limited but the menu curated has the best of Thai food . Yam Som salad has fresh oranges , toasted coconut, cashews and mint and the oranges have replaced pomello which is difficult to source . The freshness of oranges blended perfectly with the dressing and gave the salad the desired punch .

G*i Hor Bai Toey is an all time favourite appetiser with the chicken wrapped in Pandan leaves and deep fried . The chicken was steamed first and fried and thus ensured that it was cooked perfectly .

Hed Phad Kratiak Prik Thai Dum was superb with batter fried mushrooms tossed in garlic pepper sauce . The freshly ground pepper and garlic elevated the flavours of this appetiser .
Tod Mun Goong is something unique and novel with Prawn cakes which are panko crumbed and served with Sweet chilli sauce . This is a variation of the traditional fish cakes and these prawn cakes are ultra tasty .

Goong Mangkorn Phad Koropa was stir fried lobster with chilli and basil and the presentation by itself was simply wow !! Freshness of the lobster was combined with peppers and sweet basil .

Phad Med Mamuang Taho had Tofu wok fried with cashews and red chilli . Nam Prik Pow sauce with Tofu makes it an interesting vegetarian option .

Khao Pad Sabboard had flavourful pineapple fried rice tossed with cashews and raisins presented in the cavity of a pineapple shell . Sadesh Babu s effort deserves appreciation.

Phad Kee Mao ( Drunken noodles ) is the most popular with street style flat spicy noodles tossed with choice of meat .

Dessert was the regular fried icecream at Nasi and Mee and is always a favourite .

City Head Chef Sadesh Babu , Head Chef Samsher , Team Nasi and Mee have definitely put in their best for this TUK TUK Thai
