The Full story.

1) Sikh driver and 16 year old son stopped by Delhi Police for 500 rupees BRIBE (this day-light robbery by Delhi Police is apparently common)
2) Sikh driver refused to pay bribe. So he is first verbally abused by Police and threatened. Whilst it is alleged that non-Sikh drivers were excused and not abused for not paying bribe.
3) Delhi Police gets back-up to come and teach the Sikh man and his son a lesson for not paying a bribe
4) Sikh man defends himself and his son with his kirpan.
5) 8 Police men attack the Sikh man and his son.
6) The Police pull his Kesh (hair) and disrespect his Dastaar
7) The Sikh man had committed no crime in the first place that he had been stopped and harassed by Delhi Police
8) Father and son, without charge, taken to Police station and tortured for several hours
9) Police ask no questions, fill no charge sheet etc, instead Police Officer after Police Officer take turns to kick, punch, and beat the Sikh man and his 16 year old son.
10) Delhi Sikh Sangat have filed FIRs against Police officials.
11) Why are Sikhs treated like 2nd class citizens in India? Why is that the British, Canadian or American Police never remove a Sikh’s dastaar or pull a Sikh by his Kesh yet Indian Police does? Why is that wearing a uniform gives people the right to commit day-light robbery (taking bribes)?
Who says Sikhs are enjoying freedom in India? Can Sikhs really call India there home?
