Normal vs Dum Biryani

In a normal Chicken Biryani, the chicken is separately fried and then the cooked rice is added to it. It tends to be more oily and spicy.

whereas...

In dum biryani the raw rice, chicken and spices are cooked together slowly using steam and pressure. Dum Biryani is more flavourful but less oily and suitably spicy.
