Reflecting on our time at the World Coffee Conference in Bangalore! From meeting passionate roasters to connecting with producers and homebrewing enthusiasts, every moment was a blend of inspiration and camaraderie.
Grateful for the unwavering support and genuine interest in our craft.
Here’s to the wonderful community that makes the world of coffee so vibrant!
Collaborations to look forward to:
1. PAT Coffee: Focused on uplifting farmers in the region, this farmer-producer organisation comprises 250 dedicated members. Situated in the western ghats, PAT serves as the umbrella and processing unit for planters and producers from the three villages in the Pulneys (Panrimalai, Adalur, Todimalai). This unity results in the production of high-grade 80+ green beans. We’re proud to export these beans to specialty roasters all over India and abroad, supporting local farmers and preserving the rich biodiversity of the region.
2. Bewild: The food produce arm of Beforest Lifestyle Solutions, championing sustainable food forests and secure housing collectives. Their ‘forest-friendly’ produce, guided by permaculture principles, supports coexistence with wildlife. They prioritize equal pay, insurance, and education for staff, ensuring a harmonious farmer-plant relationship. Transforming barren lands near reserve forests into sustainable coffee cultivation areas. With projects in Coorg and Hyderabad, they’re not just cultivating coffee; they’re creating a community. Building small houses and a shared kitchen, inviting individuals to be part of this project, to live and work as a community for a duration of time. In collaboration with Bewild, Marc’s Coffees has been working with them to produce speciality coffees following molecular techniques.
