“Start Up Nation” right? In Israel it is easy to get businesses off the ground, eh? I wish - that high profile entrepreneurship is mostly talking about Israel supporting high tech and VCs. On the other hand, it’s no secret that salaries for common jobs can be generally much lower in Israel compared to counterparts in the States or Europe. The struggle is real.
But what about small business entrepreneurship…how does that do in Israel?
Small businesses don’t get as much support from government or institutions. Olim can turn to NBN or networking groups for some support though.
I will say with certainty that with a bit of grit it can be done. You can grow a small in Israel. Not just because I have done it, but because I have worked with event planners, florists, business coaches and graphic designers that have done the same. It doesn’t happen right away…but day after day and year after year…..it can be built.
