When temperatures rise, how you water can make a hugedifference. A few simple things to keep your plants happy:

Always water at the roots, not the leaves
Never water in full sun - it evaporates before it reaches the roots and can actually burn the leaves
Water in the early morning or evening when it is cooler
Do not overwater - check the soil first and only water plants that actually need it

Small changes, big difference. Your garden will thank you for it.

Look at the bees buzzing our new Hydrangea 'Dharuma'!!

A beautiful shrub growing to around 1.2 metres, it produces gorgeous domed creamy white flowerheads in summer that slowly turn pink as the season goes on. The foliage turns a lovely yellow in autumn too, so you get a brilliant long season of interest.

Hardy, bushy and perfect for borders, pots, courtyard gardens or a cottage garden setting. It will thrive in a moist but well drained soil in partial shade or full sun as long as the soil stays reliably moist.
Come in, have a wander around the garden shop and let us help you find the perfect spot for it.

Water trays! One of our favourite little garden secrets and honestly one of the simplest and cheapest things you can do for your plants this summer.

Pop one underneath your pots and your plants will draw up moisture even when you are not there to water them. When the sun is out and temperatures creep up, pots dry out fast. A water tray underneath makes such a difference.

Going away for the weekend? Hot few days ahead? You are sorted.
