After 30 long days, we have officially completed our first Copper and Spice Movember! This was our first time doing anything of this nature and the response has been breathtaking. The overwhelming support from everyone has shown us how amazing it is when people come together for a great cause. From Australia, to New York and back to Annacotty, friends and family came together to grow a monstrosity on their top lip, to show solidarity with us to let us know that we are not alone, which is precisely the point. We raised €2,470 over the course of the month and also ran/walked 165.2km as a team, all in support of men’s mental health, “for all the dads, brothers and sons”. Thank you everyone for your support throughout this amazing month for us, it was an absolute pleasure and we will be coming back again!

We are creating our very own team for Movember this year, consisting of brave workers and close friends, willing to make utter fools of ourselves, for a the great cause that is Movember. Initially founded in 2003 by a couple of friends from Australia, Movember was designed to raise awareness surrounding men’s prostate cancer, and since then, the cause has expanded to include irish cancer as a whole as well as men’s mental health. Through a study in 2021 by , it was found that 80% of suicides in Ireland were male and pro dominantly premature. We would like to shine a light on this and spread awareness using our platform (and horrendous moustaches). The link will be in the bio of all accounts partaking in the month. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.

We have taken the decision to stay closed on Wednesday 8th January (restaurant closed on Tuesdays) due to the ongoing weather conditions. We plan to reopen Thursday 9th from 5pm with hopefully more favourable conditions in place.

We had a 1st ever in Copper & Spice last Wednesday with the launch of a novel written by Annacotty local Kathleen Eull, pictured on the right, with Dr Carmen Kuhling, Ul. Called Intercessions, it's a thriller and can be ordered from Amazon or call O'Mahony's bookstore who can order it for you.
