Meet Ash

Originally from Mauritius, Ash discovered his passion for cooking alongside his mum and by helping his dad sell noodles on the streets from a young age. He went on to work in 5-star hotels before travelling the world, gaining experience in kitchens along the way.

Ash eventually settled in Strandhill, where he lives with his wife and their five children. He is Head Chef at Venue Strandhill and also runs Ash’s Cuisine, which started at the Strandhill Markets and can now be found outside Mammy Johnston’s. Street food is where his passion truly comes alive.

His food is a unique fusion of flavours, inspired by his Mauritian roots and travels. One thing everyone agrees on—Ash is an exceptionally talented chef, and his food speaks for itself.
