There’s plenty to learn behind every roast.

Lukasz, who joined our production team at Bell Lane Roastery last year, has started learning how to roast coffee, adding a new skill to his experience in the roastery.

From understanding how green coffee reacts to heat over time to reading roast curves and getting familiar with how the roaster operates, there’s a lot to take in.

He’ll be learning under the close guidance of Paulius, who has roasted the majority of our batches on the IMF60 over the past three years and knows the machine inside and out.

It’s great to see knowledge and experience being passed on within the team, and we’re looking forward to following Lukasz’s progress as he develops his roasting skills.

What a weekend at

A huge thank you to everyone who came by the stand, stopped for a coffee, shared a conversation and spent some time with us. It was brilliant to meet so many new people, catch up with familiar faces, and have the chance to share more of the stories behind Bell Lane and the coffees we love.

A special thank you to the Bell Lane team for all the work that went into the weekend, to the team for bringing such a great event together.

And of course, thank you to Roger and Wilder Lazo for the exceptional coffees we were so proud to serve across the weekend. Great coffee starts with great relationships, and it was a real pleasure to share those coffees with Belfast.

Thanks for having us. We’ll see you next time.

Today we are celebrating International Coffee Day and our 5th year supporting

International Coffee Day celebrates everything coffee brings into our lives. It is also a reminder that the future of coffee cannot be taken for granted. We are proud to be part of the World Coffee Research community, supporting work to develop stronger, more resilient coffee varieties suited to the climates of the future.
Different origins and varieties give coffee its extraordinary range of flavours. Protecting that diversity matters to farmers, roasters and everyone who enjoys coffee.

Coffee is part of the solution, and we are pleased to play our part.

30/09/2026

It’s International Coffee Day, and we’re inviting you to try somewhere new.

We’re lucky enough to taste coffees from different origins every day.
Mexico, Guatemala, Brazil, Burundi, Uganda, Colombia and Ethiopia.

We want to make it a little easier for you to explore them too. Enjoy free shipping on all coffee orders and use the opportunity to try an origin you haven’t tasted before.

Belfast Coffee Festival is nearly here! ☕ This weekend we’ll be at stands C3 and C4 on 3–4 October, sharing brews and catching up with the coffee community.

Join us on Saturday for:

☕ 10:30 Cascara workshop with Milena Bardyn . Is it tea or is it coffee? Come find out and taste it for yourself.

🎙️ 15:30 “Aesthetics vs. Espressos: Does Great Design Sell More Coffee?” Gail Henshall Henshall joins the panel to talk coffee, design and the customer experience.

What are you drinking lately? We’d love to hear about it. See you at C3 and C4!

Belfast Coffee Festival is around the corner. What are we bringing?

Niko has been roasting two coffees from Wilder Lasso that we’ll be serving on the Bell Lane bar at Belfast Coffee Festival:

Natural Sidra — Filter
Natural Gesha — Espresso

Wilder’s coffees have picked up an abundance of awards over the years. We had the chance to showcase his coffees at Dublin Coffee Festival earlier this year, and we’re excited to be pouring them again at Belfast Coffee Festival.

A little team tasting ahead of Belfast Coffee Festival.

Today the whole Bell Lane team came together for Milena’s cascara workshop, which she’ll be presenting at Belfast Coffee Festival next weekend.

It’s always good to get everyone around the same table, learning together and exploring what coffee can be beyond the cup, very much part of our belief that coffee should be welcoming, interesting and for everyone.

Cascara is the dried skin of the coffee cherry. After the coffee seeds (what we know as coffee beans) are removed from the fruit, the skins can be carefully dried and used to make drinks and other ingredients.

Milena Bardyn Milena took us through three different types of cascara, before showing us just how versatile it can be. We tasted cascara cold brew, lemonade and a few different creations, with the hazelnut cascara spread becoming the favourite.
