The students may have headed home for the summer, but campus life certainly hasn’t stopped! ☀️

Behind the scenes, exam papers are being corrected, results are being processed, and the many administrative and service teams that keep the university running are hard at work every day.

At Pugin Hall, we’re still serving up fresh, tasty meals and a warm welcome to all those keeping the wheels turning throughout the summer. 🍽️

As This Academic Year Draws to a Close…

As another chapter comes quietly to an end,
we pause to say a sincere and heartfelt thank you.

To our seminarians, residents, students, staff and those who passed by during the academic year, you have brought such warmth, life, and laughter into Pugin Hall each day.

Through shared meals, passing conversations, and familiar faces across the room, you have made this place feel like so much more than a restaurant. You have made it a community.

We have been privileged to witness your journeys, the friendships formed, the moments of joy, and the quiet growth that happens over time.

(We are here throughout the summer, so do feel free to pop in and say hello!)

If not, we look forward to welcoming you back next term.

☀️📚 Exam Tip of the Day: Be Kind to Yourself 📚☀️

Another boiling hot day.
Another exam.
Another walk across campus feeling like a Victorian orphan crossing the Sahara 🥵

At this stage students are surviving on:
☀️ SPF
💧 water
📖 panic
…and vibes.

So today’s reminder is:
✨ Be kind to yourself. ✨

Exam season is stressful enough without your inner voice acting like a disappointed football coach.

Didn’t finish all your revision?
That’s okay.

Got one question wrong?
You’ll survive.

Accidentally spent 20 minutes staring into space imagining dropping out and opening a café in Spain?
Completely normal behaviour at this point 💚

You are doing better than you think.
And honestly, surviving exams during a heatwave deserves extra credit anyway.

Today’s goals:
✅ Try your best
✅ Drink water
✅ Wear deodorant (still important)
✅ Speak to yourself like you would a friend
❌ Don’t spiral because one topic didn’t come up

And while the sun continues personally attacking students…
🍽️ Pugin Hall Student Restaurant has the food covered.

Cold drinks, proper meals, snacks, and a safe space to dramatically complain about exams and the weather 💚
