Indie Beer Week - amazing events from 25th to 31 May in Independent Beer Breweries all over Ireland!

On 26th May, it is the turn of the Burren Brewery next door!

12:30pm Beer & Smoked Salmon Tasting at the Burren Smokehouse and the Roadside Tavern

Tickets Cost €15 - book here! Only 10 tickets available.

This is an hour long event starting at the Burren Smokehouse visitor centre with a tasting and a presentation for 30 minutes.

Then we will be walking up to the nearby Roadside Tavern Gastro Pub to meet with Peter Curtin, the Master Brewer, for a tasting of four beers from the Burren Brewery: The Burren Black Stout, The Burren Red Ale, The Burren Gold Lager and the unique Euphoria which is a Wild Yeast Gruit Beer with yeast that was captured in the Burren and brewed with herbs instead of hops.

There will be beef cheeks slow-cooked in Burren Black and fish & chips in Burren Gold Batter available for lunch in the Roadside Tavern.

We are open tonight (Friday) from 6pm to 9pm, and from 1pm to 9pm on Saturday and Sunday if you want to drop in for some lovely food and a safe, airy space to sit in.

This week is Heritage Week which means that many (free) events are available across the country. We are happy to share with you that the Burren Smokehouse next door will hold an Open Day tomorrow, Wednesday 18 August 2021!

Come and visit the "Taste the Atlantic - Salmon Experience" - for free! No need to book in advance, unless you come with a big group. You can visit the interactive experience from 10am to 5pm.

Simply come to the Burren Smokehouse visitor centre and let the ladies there know that you want to see the Taste the Atlantic.

Do you recognise the place? It looks a bit different now. This is one of the pictures shown in an exhibition about Lisdoonvarna's fascinating history. This is the time to visit it!

The exhibition is in the dance hall in the Spa Wells Gardens down from the Hydro Hotel. It is free and open daily from 10am to 12.30pm.

There are volunteers at hand who bring the spa town's history to life, show you a video about the matchmaking festival and even bring you over to the historic pump house. Fancy a bit of sulphur water? It's healthy, guaranteed! 😊

Bring your picnic - how about a take-away from the Burren Storehouse? There is plenty of new picnic benches around.
