We have some new additions to the shelves this week-first up we have some of the amazing range from - we had 5 of their products on the shelves but within an hour we are already down to 4!!! That’s how good it is-pop in for a look, there may even be a chance of a wee taste of the sold out garlic chilli crunch, depending on how quickly you can get in!

A wee reminder that the tickets for our Long Table on June 15th go on sale THIS MONDAY at 7pm on our website. Elaine is getting the important stuff sorted this week, like her wee gold forks so that she has time to properly pair the wines to the menu when she gets to see the menus!!!

Date announcement for the Long Table. Full details, including where and when to buy tickets will be announced Friday morning. ALL ticket sales will be online through our website but we will give plenty of notice before they go live!!!

Tag a mate to let them know to keep an eye out as well!!! It’s gonna be a good one!

Reminder that the cafe is closed tomorrow, we have to get the maintenance work in before summer starts. Ray and Simon will have the shop open but on slightly shorter hours-word on the street is there will be some blue cheese tastings this week when they’ve gotten Elaine out of the way. Hours back to normal Tuesday.

What a wonderful experience earlier this week on a wine trip to Portugal with our fabulous suppliers

We started our trip battling storm Chandra to get to the airport so it was a meet with Bronagh from and Stacey from right at the gate. got us sorted for the flight and off to Lisbon we headed.

The weather gods were not on our side-the longer for January sunshine was replaced by wind and rain but it still couldn’t take away from the stunning in Alentejo. We might not have been too happy with the weather but as explained they were delighted with the rain!! We toured the amazing 1600 hectare reserve, saw lots of wildlife(albeit fairly low on ducks-because of the weather they were hiding!!), and were treated to a number of wine tastings and fantastic food thanks to our wonderful hosts and their staff. If you get the chance check them out and make sure you try to get a visit. But don’t worry if that’s not possible-just keep an eye and we will have a new list of wines hitting the shelves soon.

We’ll get a longer blog post sorted on our website during the week, and give you a quick rundown on the other things we did on our trip in the next few days.

Again massive thanks to Jim, Darren and the team for the opportunity, and to and Sofia for such a memorable experience(we are already trying to sort a trip back!!)
