This month marks the 60 year anniversary of our grandparents Andrew & Mary Early buying a wee bar in Leabgarrow from Matt O'Donnell while home on holidays from America. Matt told our Papa it was a good place to raise his family and they decided to go for it.
Papa went back to Chicago to earn some more money to pay it off but in the meantime Nana opened up Early's Bar (while pregnant!) with the help of her brothers & family.

They ran a very successful business for 24 years, hosting all the big names in music at the weekly dances.

Dad & Mum took over in December 1990 and steered the ship for another 32 years, making a lot of changes a long the way, including the introduction of pizzas & barfood!

It wouldn't be what it is today without all the amazing staff we've had down through the 60 years, including nearly every cousin that came along 🤣 as well as the support from our wonderful island community and everyone who visits us for a pint, a meal, a concert, a sing song or a blether.

We are very privileged to have been able to take the business into its third generation and hope to have many more happy years in Early's Bar!
