The Cyanotype Botanical Workshop is a hands-on creative experience exploring the historic photographic process of cyanotype printing through the beauty of locally gathered plants and natural forms. Facilitated by Emma Zukovic, participants will be introduced to this accessible and captivating sun-printing technique, using botanical materials to create striking blue and white artworks inspired by the natural world.
Throughout the workshop, participants will learn the fundamentals of cyanotype preparation, composition, and exposure, experimenting with leaves, flowers, and organic textures to produce unique prints. Combining elements of photography, printmaking, and nature connection, the workshop encourages curiosity, creativity, and mindful observation of the environment. Set within the spirit of the Stillness & Spark series, the workshop offers a welcoming space to slow down, engage with a tactile artistic process, and connect with both nature and community through shared creative exploration.
Participants will leave with a collection of their own botanical cyanotype prints and a deeper appreciation for the intersection of art, light, and the natural landscape.
