We have some news 💚
After 5 years 8 months and 26 days, Kali will be closing its doors on August 28th.
It’s been one hell of an experience and an adventure and that is what life is about! Having as many experiences and adventures as possible.
As you can imagine, it was a very difficult decision to come to. We didn’t go lightly into it and ruminated on it for a long time.
Kali is our baby and has been our life for over 5 years so we are sad (and scared) to be closing but at the same time we’re very excited! We’re grateful to be closing on our own accord, nothing bad has happened and this choice is solely our own.
Talk about leaving on a high! 32nd best coffee shop in Europe, Brewers Cup Champion, European Coffee Trip Top 10 in Ireland and newspaper write ups galore! But most importantly feeling like we’ve created a space that is important and valued in our community and has brought the Galway coffee scene to the world. We truly feel like we’re leaving at the top of our game.
It’s hard to sum up over 5 years in an instagram post and what it’s meant to us 💚 we’ve made life-long friends through Kali. We’ve seen regulars come and go and families grow and we even got married in the garden. Our little community has meant so much to us, our regulars are legends 😎
It’s going to be a big change and there’s a bit of grief to closing but, we’re really excited for our next adventure, whatever that may be!
Our last day of trade is Friday 28th August so please come in for a chat, a laugh, a coffee and celebrate Kali with us 💚
