A piece of FOXFORD history, woven into Ireland’s story. 🇮🇪

In 1922, FOXFORD presented Michael Collins with a specially commissioned travel blanket to mark his appointment as Commander-in-Chief of the Irish National Army. Tragically, the blanket was in his armoured car on the day he was killed at Béal na Bláth.

In 2016, we recreated this historic design, preserving a remarkable connection between FOXFORD Woollen Mills and one of Ireland’s most significant historical figures.

Today, the Michael Collins Throw celebrates our rich weaving heritage, traditional craftsmanship and the stories that have shaped our past.
