Join Marie & Claire on Saturday, June 27th for a beautifully paced, intimate morning workshop designed for reflection, reconnection, and rejuvenation in the heart of the stunning Burren landscape, Co. Clare.

9:30 AM | Explore & Guide: Guided walk led by Marie McGauran, who has grown up in these environs, exploring the unique flora, fauna, geology, and ancient archaeology beneath our feet. (Gently paced to suit everyone and exact meeting point will be shared with our group closer to the time!)

11:00 AM | Refresh & Connect: Back to the lovely, local Burren Mo Chroí, to relax over fresh coffee, tea, and delicious scones.

11:30 AM | Reflect & Create: You’ll have the time, peace, and materials to creatively respond to the sights and textures of your morning walk with Claire, a Burren guide and Art Psychotherapist.

1:00 PM | Finish & Depart: Leave feeling grounded, inspired, and deeply rejuvenated.

€65 per person. This is fully inclusive of the expert guided tour, venue hire, workshop, fresh scones, tea/coffee, and all your art materials.

Two men who knew the Shannon Estuary like the back of their hand - sea captain John (Sonny) Davis (1887-1957) on the left and his brother Thomas (1892-1981) from Labasheeda on their boat the "Alzina" (a 25-ton cutter or small/medium sailing ship with single mast) in 1954. For many years the brothers transported merchandise by boat between Limerick and Labasheeda. Their father, John Davis, was also a boatman. He married Hanora Kelly (John's mother) in 1884. Sadly, she died of TB in 1890, at the age of 34. John then married Catherine McMahon (Thomas's mother) in 1891. Catherine died at the age of 27, of dropsy, in 1895. The photo was taken by the press photographer Donal MacMonagle (1924-2001) from Kerry.
