SACRED SOUNDS: THREE BANDS LIVE IN THE CHAPEL THIS SATURDAY! 🎶⛪✨

We are down to the final 30 days of our fight to protect independent music culture on Market Street, and this weekend, the music is taking over a very special local space!

This Saturday, we are bringing three incredible live bands into the old community chapel hall just a few steps away from the shop. It hasn’t been an active church since the 1800s, so it’s easy to forget its history—but a building like that never forgets its purpose.

Long before modern sound systems, microphones, or amplifiers existed, these 19th-century stone chapels were engineered with pure, natural acoustic perfection in mind. They were built to elevate sound, to let music breathe, and to bounce acoustic notes beautifully off high timber rafters and thick stone walls.

It brings me right back to the magical feeling of recording our own independent vinyl album inside a church a few years ago. There is a resonance in a space like that that you simply cannot replicate anywhere else.

❤️ A SINCERE THANK YOU TO THE SEVEN SISTERS POETRY GROUP ❤️

As this week draws to a close, I want to share a quiet word of profound gratitude for an extraordinary group of writers who have supported our campaign at every single turn of their recent tour.

The Seven Sisters Poetry Group have officially wrapped up their creative journey across Clare. At each unique stop, they generously wove solidarity for The Record Break directly into their literary gatherings.

From their opening at the inaugural Aonach na Sionna (The Shannon Literary Festival), to a beautiful evening of shared community words at Deborah Ryan's EASI Artists Studios here in town, right down to their final presentation at the historic Salmon Bookshop & Literary Centre in Ennistymon alongside the truly wonderful, Jessie Lendennie—these women used their art to advocate for our space and we are forever grateful.

Independent literature, poetry, and music share the same heartbeat in Clare. I look forward to honoring their incredible kindness and the time, energy, and care they have gifted us throughout this tour, with a permanent space for the Seven Sisters Poetry on our upcoming Community Legacy Wall. 🧱✨

Before this historic weekend completely draws to a close, I need to take a moment to shine a massive, dedicated light on some extraordinary women who threw their whole hearts behind the fight to save The Record Break last night.

A massive, profound thank you to the brilliant Ruth Marshall, who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to organize and bring the incredible Seven Sisters Poetry Group together for this cause. 😭✍️✨
