For twelve years, The Record Break has been more than just a place to buy records. It is a community hub, a launchpad for local musicians and poets and a piece of our town’s cultural soul.
Now, our building is going on the market. If a corporate developer buys it, this vibrant space will be gutted and likely, turned into generic apartments. We cannot let this happen!
We refuse to let our high street lose its rhythm.
Do you know for as little as €3.50 you can help save The Record Break's independent music store in Ennis?
All you need to do is buy your Barista Sinéad a virtual cup of black coffee at The RB for €3.50, and in return, she will trade you with her song - Snow Moon..
The Record Break's music store owner, has written and performed a song, collaborating with guitarist Martin Bassford, and music mixer and engineer Jon Hicks.
The trade offers supporters the exclusive song track for just €3.50. The exchange: For buying us a coffee, you will receive a digital download. This is a brand-new track produced by Sinéad & ‘The Record B Sides’. The music is the resource we have to rescue the town’s only record store. This is poetry in its purest form, saving our music shop with music.
“We aren’t asking for handouts or charity, we are a real, living, breathing independent record shop. We have pressed our own vinyl, we serve our community every day, and we have the reviews and the history to prove it. This is a fair transaction. You buy great music and you help us keep potential corporate developers off our high street. We want you to visit our website, see who we are, and trade with us directly.”
With mostly five-star reviews and a long history as a local cultural anchor, The Record Break is urging music fans, vinyl collectors, and high-street advocates to bypass corporate funding platforms and back independent retail directly.
