A good kitchen needs a little time away from the pass, too.

After a busy summer of early coffees, long lunches and evening service, the Tábla team are taking a short break before we reopen for regular service on Thursday, September 3rd. We’ll still be making room for a little Sunday evening time along the way.

Thank you to everyone who joined us along the way. We’ll be back with the same tables, the same team, and plenty more to come.

It won't be quiet for much longer.

The knives will be back on the boards, the pans back on the heat, and the pass moving again. After a short break, the kitchen will be ready to pick up where it left off, with the team back behind the scenes preparing for another season of service.

And there’s some news for Sundays: we’ll be opening for dinner in the evenings.

Tábla reopens Thursday, September 3rd. More details to follow.

The daytime pace gives way to longer tables, shared bottles of wine and a menu designed for the evening.

Bistro service runs Thursday through Saturday from 5pm.

A closer look at the Wild Turbot, one of the dishes that recently rotated off our evening menu.

Pan-roasted and served with new potatoes, green asparagus and sauce vierge. A dish built around a fish we were genuinely proud to serve, prized for its delicate flavour and firm texture, prepared with a light touch and served simply.

Our menu moves with the season, so the turbot has made way for swordfish now, given the same care and the same simple approach. We'd happily welcome the turbot back when the time is right, but for now we think the swordfish is well worth your table.

Oeuf mayonnaise is one of the most enduring classics in traditional French bistro dining

It's a dish that has been part of French dining for generations and at Tabla we prepare it exactly as tradition intended. A perfectly cooked free-range egg, homemade Dijon mayonnaise and house pickles. Nothing more, nothing less.

There’s a little change happening at Tábla this summer, and we wanted to let you know what’s coming.

This Sunday, 26th July, we’ll be serving our final Sunday Roast before we make the switch to something a little lighter for the season.

From Sunday, 2nd August, our Lunch Menu will be available every Sunday. Think freshly made sandwiches, seasonal favourites and easy lunches that are perfect after a stroll, a visit to the playground with the kids, or to grab on the go.

Lastly, we’ll be taking a summer break from Monday, 17th August, reopening on Thursday, 3rd September. It’s a chance for our team to recharge before we’re back to welcome you for another busy season.

We’ll see you this Sunday from 12:00pm - 4:00pm, Reservations are highly recommended.
