DID YOU KNOW? There’s a lovely family festival happening around Dublin over the next few weeks and some of it is right here in Glasnevin. 💚

Bronntanas 2026 is bringing 50+ free family events to Dublin from 14 September – 4 October, celebrating Gaeilge through music, storytelling, arts, culture and outdoor activities.

And for our little budding gardeners… 🌱

Free planting workshops for ages 6–12 are taking place at the National Botanic Gardens.

No booking needed, just turn up and get planting!

A lovely excuse to get the kids out, explore the Botanic Gardens and discover a bit of Gaeilge along the way. 🇮🇪

CULTURE NIGHT IN GLASNEVIN!

Culture Night is coming up on Friday 18 September, and we thought we’d put together a little guide to what’s happening right here in Glasnevin.

📍 Glasnevin Cemetery
From 4pm, explore Ireland’s National Cemetery with free Highlight Tours, photography walks and the chance to step inside Daniel O’Connell’s crypt on the Dead Interesting Tours at 5pm and 7pm.

📷 Photo-Fest
Two photography exhibitions will also be part of the evening. A great excuse to see Glasnevin from a different perspective.

📚 Margaret Aylward Centre
At 7pm, Dermot Bolger will be in conversation, celebrating a writer whose life and work have been closely connected to Glasnevin and Drumcondra. This one is currently sold out.

So if you’re heading out on the night, enjoy it and support the brilliant local people and places making Glasnevin what it is. ❤️
