Spanish bread, but make it ube. 💜 You still get that signature sugary, buttery center, but with ube flavor baked right into the dough.
Fun fact: There’s actually nothing Spanish about it! It’s a 100% Filipino invention. Back in the day, local bakers just called it “Spanish bread” as a marketing flex to make it sound fancy and premium. Budol is real talaga since the early days hahaha! 😅
