5KM FUN RUN IN REMEMBRANCE OF EMMA HOWE| Angel Emma was a bright funny beautiful girl from Greenhills. Unfortunately last year Emma was unexpectedly diagnosed with leukaemia. She had a tough battle but was in remission. Sadly things took a turn for the worst and little Emma aged 9 passed away on the 2nd of August. Emma was a frequent customer at the café so upon hearing of the news it was only right that we held an event in her honour. Next Sunday 10th of September we are holding an event in honour. At 2pm we will be meeting at Ceann Sásta Cafe for a ceremony to celebrate Emma’s life and release balloons. There will be a live band, DJ and Saxaphone player and a 5km fun run, skip, dance or walk will be taking place through the neighbourhood. We would really appreciate if people would sign up even if they do not intend to run as all the money will be going to the Howe family to help them through this difficult time. Tickets will also include a T-shirt to be worn for the event. Donations can be big or small. CEANN SÁSTA CAFÉ| Something very exciting is happening ☺️ Ceann Sásta Café is officially opening this Saturday. This has been in the works for awhile now but it’s crazy to see it actually happening. Ceann Sásta Café is going to be a wellness café that promotes healthy living and connection. My two favourite things in life are coffee and community so this was a no brainer. We’re having a launch party this Saturday May 20th at 4:30pm to celebrate. There will be live music, a BBQ and lots of good vibes. You can follow to keep updated. See you then. Grá mór 💕

Hey everyone, just letting you know Alex from Ceann Sásta] is holding a wellness afternoon for St Paul’s Secondary School. It’s on this Thursday the 1st at 4pm in Central Perk Cafe at the Greenhills Community Centre. It’s a free event as she wants it to be accessible to everyone. The theme we will be working through is self limiting beliefs. Self limiting beliefs are basically any belief you have about yourself that stops you from doing something you want to do. For example, I’m not good enough, I’m not smart enough, I’m not experienced enough… and the list goes on. They don’t have to be true for us to believe them. We think it’s really important for young women and young girls to become aware of these things at a young age so they don’t spend the rest of their lives standing in their own way and feeling like they’re not enough. Girls can be so hard on themselves especially in their teenage years so we would like to take this opportunity to help just make them more aware and show that a lot of the time we are the only thing standing in our way and we are good enough to do the things we want to do.
