It is with heartbreak and immense sadness that we mourn the sudden and untimely passing of Lee Bulmer, a hugely respected member of our RPH Family for the past twelve years.
Lee – under the mentorship and guidance of Gary Burke - Executive Chef was a valued and integral part of the Kitchen Chef team. His commitment, dedication, interest and enthusiasm for Chef life was reflected in his work every day. His quiet, dependable, calm and gentle nature is a true reflection of the person he was, but he could also be totally relied upon to serve up a portion of friendly banter, humour and sharp wit on spec as if it was on the menu!
Lee comes from a close knit family with links to both hospitality and Hotel work. Two of his siblings – Teejay, a fellow Chef & Cassie are former team members of the RPH, and they both would have worked alongside Lee and the Kitchen team down through the years. The unimaginable anguish that they are enduring at this time is deeply felt by us all.
Lee will be sorely missed - not just by his teammates in the Kitchen but across many departments in the Hotel - his unexpected passing has left a profound sense of sorrow and loss throughout our entire team.
We remember his late mother Carole as we offer our heartfelt sympathies to his father Robert, siblings- Teejay, Cassie, Kim & Shanie, his extended family, friends, colleagues past & present and to everyone whose lives he touched. Our thoughts are with you all.
