Good news: ‘Abhaile’ - a boost to local nightlife in Carrickmacross

I paid a visit in to see how works are progressing in Abhaile (formerly Jayz) today and to have a nosey at the new layout. Big thank you to Ronan for showing me around even though he’s flat out trying to get everything ready for their opening. The place is a buzz with local contractors and, so far, they’re on target to have this new pub & disco bar up and running for the Carrickmacross Street Festival weekend (June Bank Holiday).

The new Management Team (Paul, Jason, Jonny and Ronan) have worked extremely hard to get to where they are now and this week they became licensed publicans; So it’s all hands on deck now over the coming weeks to get the doors opened to the public. I look forward to seeing the finished results (I’ll publish photos when it opens).

I know the people of Carrickmacross are looking forward to Abhaile opening and I certainly wish them the very best of luck. Please show your support when it’s up and running.
