Fenagh Abbey Graveyard Access
Access to Fenagh Abbey graveyard will be closed from Monday, September 14th to Sunday September 20th inclusive. This is to accommodate essential repair work on the footpath.
Vacancy

Pilates

Yoga

Music Teacher
Fenagh development are looking for a music teacher to take over and existing group of up to 12 students. Two afternoons per week at Fenagh Community Centre. Guitar, Keyboard/Piano. Contact the visitor centre on 071 9645590 if interested.
Table Tennis
Fenagh Table Tennis club starts back on Monday September 21st. Meeting every Monday night in the Community Centre from 7:30 to 9:30pm. Open to anyone over 18 years. All levels welcome, from beginners to experienced. All equipment provided €5.00 per session. This is a great way to get some exercise in a warm, friendly and welcoming environment. Gentle Exercise for Seniors
Great for improving balance and coordination. Strengthen bones, boost energy. Great fun. Every Thursday in FenaghVisitor Centre, 2-3pm. €5.00 per session, why not stay and have a cuppa and a chat afterwards.
Graveyard Survey
Fenagh Development are doing a survey of the graveyards in the parish. We are looking for volunteers to help upgrade the survey done in 2011. This involves noting the inscriptions on the gravestones in The Abbey Graveyard, St Catherine’s Church of Ireland graveyard and the new graveyard and also taking photos of the gravestone with your phone. You can go out whenever or for as long as you want and it is a great way to get out and about when the evenings get longer. Parent & Toddler Group (max age 4)
Every Friday from 10am to 12pm at Visitor Centre with full use of the indoor play area. There will be toast, fresh fruit and juice for the children and tea/coffee and biscuits for the adults during the s ession. The session is a great opportunity for adults to mingle, swap stories and relax while the children play safely. Whether you are a mum, dad, grandparent or carer, you are most welcome

Coffee Morning
COFFEE MORNING IN AUGHNASHEELIN FOR NORTH WEST HOSPICE will be hosted by Monica Ward in Aughnasheelin Community Centre on Saturday 19th September 11am to 3pm. All money raised will go directly to North West Hospice, Sligo.
Hedge Cutting Notice
Leitrim County Council wishes to remind all landowners and occupiers, under the terms of the Roads Act 1993, that it is their legal responsibility to carry out any necessary tree or hedge cutting where their land or property abuts the public road so as to ensure that any trees/hedges or other vegetation are not a hazard to people using the public road.Hedge Cutting should only be carried out during the period from 1st September to the end of February, annually. Hedgerows, trees or other vegetation along the public road that require cutting or trimming back should be cut immediately and all cuttings removed from the roads and verges. Adequate signposting should be provided while hedge cutting works are in progress.
Ash Dieback
Landowners should check trees on their property which abut the public road for Ash Dieback and any such trees should be cut immediately as they pose a hazard to all road users particularly during any winter storms and landowners will be liable for any damage caused by fallen roadside trees.
Hedge Cutting & Overhanging Tree Canopy Grant Scheme 2026/2027
To encourage the cutting of roadside trees and hedges, Leitrim County Council operate a Hedge Cutting Grant Scheme. The Hedge Cutting Grant Scheme is now open and aims to encourage the cutting of roadside hedges/trees along the Public Road Network. Open to all, individual applicants, communities and groups
• Minimum length of road network per application is 1km
• The grant is €75 per km of the roadside hedge/overhanging trees which are cut back
• An additional grant of €50 per km for the cutting of dangerous overhanging tree canopies/branches along the public road network (min of 10 trees per km)
