Today is World Environment Day, and for us, it goes right back to why Honestly began.
We wanted food that was hearty, tasty and satisfying, but still made with care - what goes into it, where it comes from, and the land it comes from. That’s why we chose farm-to-fork food, organic where possible, Irish suppliers where possible, and farming methods that protect the soil, support wildlife and give our animals the best living conditions we can.
From our organic farm to where our burger rolls, breads and bakes are handmade without added nasties, the aim has always been the same: proper food, made with better ingredients, with as little impact on the land as we can manage.
Organic food is better for the soil, better for biodiversity, better for animal welfare and better for us.
So this World Environment Day, start with one small thing. Choose organic where budget and availability allow. Choose Irish where you can. Choose food from places that care how it was grown, farmed and raised.
