💚 Best of Luck, Michelle! 💚
Today we would like to wish Michelle the very best of luck as she takes part in the Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon, running for a cause that is so close to all of our hearts.
Michelle’s husband, Mark, received a life-changing kidney transplant on 2nd April last year. That gift transformed not only Mark’s life, but also the lives of his wife Michelle and their two boys, Ollie and Noah.
Mark was diagnosed many years ago with Polycystic Kidney Disease, a condition that runs in our family and continues to affect others, including Mark’s sister.
Today, Michelle is running in honour of:
💚 Her husband, Mark
💚 The selfless deceased donor and their family
💚 Her sister-in-law, father-in-law, and all extended family members who fought this battle alongside them
💚 The Irish Kidney Association, whose support throughout Mark’s four and a half years on dialysis, and beyond, has meant so much to them all
Michelle, we are so incredibly proud of you. The strength, love and dedication you have shown throughout this journey have been nothing short of inspiring. You have been Mark’s rock every step of the way and an amazing role model to your children and to everyone around you.
Thank you for raising awareness, honouring those who made transplantation possible, and supporting such an important cause.
