The Algiers is going through the biggest shift change in our history.
The young people who formed the team that helped us win Outstanding Customer Service at the Irish Pub Awards have grown up—and now they have fledged.
Saoirse Óg arrived at seventeen with pink hair and braces. We watched her grow into the woman who is now setting out to build her adult life.
Megan came to us at fifteen. She took charge almost immediately and, for four years, never merely worked at The Algiers—she owned the room, the shift and often the whole place.
Sierra, Ruairí, Calvin, Michal, Lucy, Ailbhe and Fachtna each brought something entirely their own. They were not simply a team. They were the voices, humour, confidence and personalities that helped us create what The Algiers is.
We always knew that young people would grow up and move on. Somehow, we were still not ready.
We are heartbroken to lose them, but immensely proud of where they are going.
They take a piece of The Algiers—and of us—with them. They leave behind years of work, laughter, stories and standards, along with a piece of themselves that will always be here.
Thank you. We will miss you more than you know.
