Hi all,

We would like to express our most sincere and heartfelt thanks to all our customers, for their unbelievable loyalty and support over the years.
Thank you for all the chats, the laughs, the encouragement and the kindness. We have been privileged to have been part of your lives for so many years.

However, time moves on, and we are now about to start a new chapter. We want to wish the new owners of Paddy Murphy’s every success, and we sincerely hope that they will have as many happy years there as we have had.

Looking forward to seeing you all on the other side of the bar.

Wayne Scales gone walkabout and threatens to quit!

"It is with great sadness that I announce that I will no longer be able to work as part of Operation Transformation.

"A number of weeks ago I was badly assaulted in the Pub and this resulted in one of my feet being badly damage (Civil case pending) and while the sellotape helped for a bit, my standards have dropped.

"The job fulfilment is not there anymore and in particular this year’s Operation Transformation I have been unable to give good news to many of the OT members and this has been “weighing heavily” on my mind.

"I have decided to look for new job opportunities around the village. The business owners were happy to see me but being happy was a strange feeling for me after all the abuse I suffered every Tuesday!!

"I completed a trial with each of the businesses but unfortunately they all agreed – with only 3 of my feet working they could not offer me employment.

"I am sick of people walking all over me. I will consider coming back to Paddy’s Murphy’s Pub but only on the condition that I am retired!

"Should you agree to my retirement, I will come back this Saturday and will consider dropping the civil case regarding my serious assault.
