Part Two of The Story Behind Dempsey’s,
The Bar Back.

Originally removed from an old Belfast bar dating back to 1883, it was later found in a salvage yard in Northern Ireland ,just weeks before it made its way to Dempsey’s.

Four months of restoration later, and this piece of history has found a new home. 🥃

THE STORY BEHIND DEMPSEY’S : THE BAR COUNTER

Bar owner and designer David Pratt shares the story behind one of the defining pieces of Dempsey’s ,an over 150 year old bar counter, salvaged from a yard in Derry and carefully restored over four months.
From being left outside for over a decade to taking pride of place behind the bar, this is the story of how it was brought back to life.
The first story behind the design of Dempsey’s. 🦊🧡
