THE COFFEE'S STORY : WHERE THEY'RE COME FROM

Introducing coffee stem method

1. Taking Coffee "Entres"
This activity is carried out in the morning to maintain the quality of growth from sun exposure.

2. Seeding
Cut the stem sideways also it's leaves by leaving half of the leaves to reduce humidity when planting "entres".
3. Soaking
Soak the stem pieces in water for 20 minutes by adding a 0-500 ppm of growth regulator (rootone).
4. Planting / Embroidery
Growing media in the form of holes with a diameter of 2 cm with a distance of 10 cm between rows and 5 cm between plants, they arranged so as not to shade each other between cuttings. Media in the form of sand given a fungicide to protect plants from fungus. Cuttings are planted on media consisting of the topmost layers of fine sand, followed by gravel and the soil is in the lowest layer. Rooted cuttings are sensitive to friction and require a fast growth area. Sand thickness of 20 cm. Media watered to close the gap so that it solidifies. The media is covered using plastic to keep conditions damp.

5. Cuttings care
Every three days, a check is made to remove cuttings that are affected by fungus (indicated by stems and leaves that are black) and exposed to termites. Seedling replacement is done.

6. Harvest cuttings
Harvesting is done after seeding for 3 months. Entres are harvested by digging cuttings that have roots, while non-rooted cuttings are taken for replanting.

Our coffeeshop is located in Pedca Utara, Universitas Padjadjaran, West Java. In this place, everyone can brew their own coffee, because of our coffeeshop is self-service designed. Everyone can be a barista and enjoy his own art of coffee.

West Java Coffee also known as Java Preanger Coffee. It planted on 1000 meters above sea level. The coffee plants in Mount of Cikurai, Papandayan, Malabar, Caringin Tilu, Patuha, Halu, Beser, Tangkuban Parahu and Manglayang.

Java Preanger Coffee is the one of best coffee in the world, because of it's distinctive flavours. Today, we have made a coffee flavour wheel in Sundanese, so the farmers can find out his quality of coffee.

[FLAVOUR WHEEL]

Did you know that coffee has so many flavours? Here, we have remake the universal flavour wheel into Sundanese Language, so the villagers can learn 'the art of coffee'

Mainly, coffee's taste notes can known by cupping. Simply, we spit coffee into all parts of our tongue at the same time. In the end, we will find out the most dominant taste among sweet, bitter, sour and salty.

The aroma of coffee is likewise valued, that is, in the form of seeds, powder and after brewing. Then, we classifies aroma into enzymatic (fruit and floral), sugar browning and dry distillation.
