This month we are 20 years old!

In 2006, Surfcamp Lombok was born on Gerupuk’s beachfront. A wooden shack tucked in the jungle, whimsical and playful, is now exactly the place our founders were dreaming of.

Every day something gets better, something gets patched, we keep growing into new needs and dreams. Here’s to many more years of never everland! 🌞

The camp now has a beautiful coworking space. Big, quiet, AC. A seat for every kind of remote worker or artist. Lounge on a comfy sofa (feet off, please), post up at a solo desk, or sit facing the greenery. There’s a meeting room for long calls or top secret plans. Baba’s will bring you drinks to keep your brain going.

Open to everyone, just come test it out next time you need to focus!

As unforgettable surf camp experience comes to a close, join us for a special Lombok-style barbecue! 🔥

On the last evening, we invite all our guests to a celebration of local Sasak cuisine, featuring perfectly grilled fish and vegetables, sate skewers and gado-gado a traditional Indonesian salad drizzled with rich peanut sauce. To elevate the meal, our chefs will prepare traditional sambal, a spicy condiment that adds a burst of flavor and heat to the dishes.

This barbecue not only offers a delightful dishes but also brings everyone together to share stories and celebrate the bonds formed during last weeks of surf adventures.

Grab a drink or two from the bar, whether you prefer a classic mojito, a fruity piña colada, or something uniquely crafted, to enjoy it surrounded by new friends and breathtaking beauty of nature.

Before each new camp, it’s polishing time. Staff and crew gather, dings get fixed, boards get fresh wax, and every corner of the place gets looked at with fresh eyes.

Check-in day has its own rhythm. House tour, first board, first group. Maybe a free surf in the afternoon. The skate bowl. The light going gold. Buffet dinner and the conversations that start too fast because everyone’s a little nervous and excited at the same time.

Then the welcome presentation, the moment the whole group becomes a thing. Lights out early after that. Tomorrow starts early and it doesn’t ease you in. 🔥

BABA’S Restaurant !

Many of you might not know this yet, but the camp has its very own restaurant now. And we’ve just revamped our menu with crazy crazy good things. ❤️‍🔥

Come say hi, have a sniff, have a taste, sit with the guests if you want to mingle, go hide with a book at the tables overlooking the sea if you don’t.

We have options for every kind of mood, appetite and diet. And yes, we have the best steak ever for you to stock up on those proteins 🏄🏽‍♀️

The restaurant is open every day from early breakfast to dinner (last orders 9:30-10pm). Outside guests are also always welcome to join on the camp guests’ buffet,
so try to catch us on our famous sasak nights for a smorgasbord of exquisite local food, and stay and have a dance to digest!

Ohh and we have lovely cocktails and heaps of non alcoholic options also!

Ok sold? Good, see you there soon🍹

Every room is different here.

Teak wood, bamboo, glass that lets the garden in.
A private chalet tucked up in the trees that feels like a treehouse - sea breeze coming through, jungle all around you, outdoor bathroom where you shower with the rhythm of the sky.
(Yes there is also AC.)

Some rooms even have gorgeous and intimate little patios- we don’t actually see many of our guests actually using them. (Our friend was really kind enough to pose for us on one of them for a minute but thats just for content)

Tbh this place makes it hard to stay still. You wake up and already your feet are moving - to the water, to breakfast, back to the water, to some random funky last minute mission. Always a little late for something good.

Buut the patios are there if you need them, and our cosy surf chalets are ready for you to come rest in during your intense weeks here with us!

Some things are built to be finished by someone else.
She started as a dream in a Sulawesi shipyard. Three hulls, shaped by hand, inspired by a philosophy of simplicity and harmony with the sea. The man who imagined her didn’t get to see her sail. What he left behind were the bones of something worth continuing.
We continued it.
Now she moves through the bay the way the wind does - quietly, without asking permission. We take her to the corners of Lombok that don’t show up on schedules. Secret waves, still water, the kind of light that makes you forget what day it is.
Come learn to read the wind. Or don’t - just sit at the bow with salt in your hair and let her do the work.
Sailor’s feet not required. Just show up.

Our little piece of wonderland was built almost 20 years ago ❤️

Here, we all kind of lose our shoes. Hop around with dirty but strong, happy soles. Always a little salty, always a little sweaty. Even just walking from the restaurant to the yoga shala feels like play.

These kids in the photos - they were here at the beginning. Salt-stiff hair, earth-stained feet, not really knowing they were building something that would outlast the moment. They just showed up and did the thing.

The kids running around here today? They don’t know it yet either.

Maybe that’s how dreams get made. Not on purpose. Just barefoot, just present, just here.

Okay, now guess who is who, go!
