One of my favthings in later life. Tasting the experimental new dishes from the Taman Garden restaurant kitchen. Today Ifran and his team made Duck and Chicken Liver Pate and Corn Ribs. This finger food is to feature at a function on the Sky bar next week . Yummy.

Wow. We just have had two Swedish women staying at Taman Unique Hotel Tina and Astrid. They have traveled overland from Istanbul to (so far) Senggigi Lombok, Indonesia. They have traveled by train, local bus, car motorcycle, horse cart, various boats and on foot. People might say that Jules Verne type travel is no longer possible because of …(fill in the reason ). In fact these intrepid women demonstrate that only the will is missing in this internet age. From Lombok they are island hopping through eastern Indonesia to Timor Leste and eventually to Australia.
Let’s not hear anymore from people saying the world is now too dangerous for great travel adventures.
