things improved again after a few days we did not have customers to eat at the gallery.now we have realized that is like the waves in the ocean.Mr.Mike our teacher,teach everything he knows for gallery,so we can still continue what he left,everybody like special menu at the gallery,so they are come for that.because that gallery still can feed 6 employees

The staff of The Gallery express their sincerest condolences to the daughters of Mike Appleton, Donna and Stephanie on the sudden and peaceful passing of their father on Saturday 9th December 2017. His burial took place on Sunday and his cremation will take place in August 2018.

Mike and his wife Kadek started The Gallery in 2013 and built the business into a thriving hub which attracts travellers from all around the world. Mike liked nothing more than cooking for people and also sitting and chatting with them about anything and everything, he was a great listener and teacher. He shared his principles, ethics, morals and philosophy with like minded people.

He willingly gave his spare time to conducting free weekly english and art lessons to anyone who wanted them. He provided a non judgemental ear to those who needed advice. Mike is gone but will never been forgotten by those that were lucky enough to have known him.

The Gallery reopened its doors today for business and Kadek, Komang and the staff warmly welcome travellers and global friends to pass by for a drink or something to eat.

Thank you for your support and kindness and we hope to see everyone again soon.

Hi friends, after another internet blank out, would like to share some advances by The Gallery over the last few weeks. Following our move to a more vegan/vegetarian/gluten free basis, the response has been quite amazing, seems more and more people are seeking this option!! We quickly became aware that we were desperately short of table space, so fitted a new bigger canopy over the eating area and added another 4 tables, of course this was followed by being able to employ another 2 local people to help with the increased demand. The Rosella has also seen a modicum of success, sending some supplies to Switzerland, Sweden and Australia. Hope to see you soon. Mike

Hi Friends, the Gallery plan to assist the seaweed farmers who are in very difficult times took a step forward this week. Several of them have joined in planting Rosella and this season has seen a big increase in volumes harvested whilst maintaining an exceptional quality. Just hope that we can do them justice in finding suitable markets. Well done Penida Farmers
