Chua Chwee Whatt used to be a pig farmer in Seletar. And as someone who enjoyed patronizing bak k*t teh stalls, he failed to find good quality of Bak K*t Teh stalls due to the use
of poor raw ingredients. By late 1970’s, he decided to cook the dish, using his own pigs and started his own shop in Choa Chu Kang area. His flagship is in Balestier Road. The secret recipe to the good quality of Founder’s Bak K*t Teh lies in the insistence of its founder. Uncle Chua, who only uses good quality meat, which then simmered in specially formulated broth of herbs and spices.
