Meet the Bali Beans Family ☕️🌿

Since 1985, the Sudana family has been growing coffee in the rich volcanic soils of the Kintamani Highlands, Bali. Our organic plantation thrives at an altitude of 3,200-3,900 ft, producing premium Arabica beans in collaboration with fellow local farmers through the traditional "Subak Abian" community.

Together, we’ve worked hard to shift from commodity coffee to sustainable specialty coffee production, ensuring better practices for both the environment and our farmers.

From growing to roasting, we control every step of the coffee journey to bring you the freshest, highest-quality coffee. Whether you visit us at Bali Beans Plantation or our Umalas branch, or enjoy our beans at home, we’re here to share the authentic taste of Bali with you.

Surely it’s no coincidence that .sudana , CEO of Bali Beans, was born the same year our family plantation celebrated its first coffee harvest! 🌿☕️

As a child, Ayu’s world revolved around coffee. Along with her books, she’d pack a change of clothes every morning to head straight to the plantation after school, helping her parents pick ripe coffee cherries. On weekends, Ayu would arrive early to gather fresh wild Luwak droppings, turning her efforts into pocket money.

Over the years, Ayu’s parents entrusted her with the day-to-day supervision of the plantations. She learned invaluable wisdom from the Bali Beans farmers, experiencing their passion for life and embracing traditional organic Balinese farming values.

Today, the immersive coffee farming grounding from her childhood, combined with her father’s passion for travel and her mother’s dedication to environmental conservation, fuels Ayu’s dream to bring premium Balinese coffee to every corner of the world, in the most sustainable way possible!
