U Dubrovniku je divlja naranča nekada bila i ukras i sastojak — rasla je u vrtovima i dvorištima, mirisala u proljeće i donosila boju zimskim danima.
Njezini plodovi koristili su se za pripremu marmelada i likera, u vremenu kada se cijenila svaka namirnica i ništa nije bilo suvišno.
I danas je još uvijek prisutna, tiho utkana u gradske vrtove i sjećanja, zadržavajući svoj prepoznatljiv miris i suptilnu gorčinu.

In Dubrovnik, wild bitter orange trees were once both ornamental and culinary — growing in gardens and courtyards, fragrant in spring and vibrant through the winter months.
Their fruit was used to create marmalades and liqueurs, in a time when every ingredient was valued and nothing went to waste.
They are still present today, quietly woven into the city’s gardens and memories, preserving their distinctive aroma and gentle bitterness.
