We are pleased to announce that we are now back in full swing, serving both lunch and dinner.

Many of our chefs, bartenders, and waitstaff come from around the world, and the smooth operation of Bugenvila is closely tied to the complex and often unpredictable Croatian Aliens Act. Despite our best efforts, the extensions for the work permits of our non-EU team members were only granted today.

As a result, throughout August we had to operate with a significantly shortened dinner menu and were unable to serve lunch. We sincerely apologise to all guests whose lunch reservations had to be cancelled, as well as to those who expected our full fine dining menu but instead received a simplified version.

We are grateful for unexpected moral support extended by fellow restaurants to our chefs while they awaited their permits.

We remain committed to building a restaurant of the highest quality—offering the finest food, drinks, ambiance, and service.

As we close for the winter break tonight, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made this season possible. Our kitchen team will begin preparations for 2025 in March, and we look forward to welcoming our guests back on Friday, March 28th.

A special thank you goes to Mati and Cristo for their unwavering loyalty, especially during those long shifts when we were short-staffed in May and June. We also extend a warm welcome to Edu, who joined us this season, bringing both hard work and a joyful spirit. David, you were fantastic, and Marin, we’re so grateful for your dedication. Eric, thank you for stepping in during the peak of summer with your incredible energy and enthusiasm.

To our exceptional front-of-house team—Gabi, Tomas, and Nicasio—and to our barman, Augustin, along with the wonderful women who kept everything running smoothly: Rabina, Mamta, Maya, and both Kabitas, thank you for your tireless efforts and positivity.

We’re truly grateful for each of you. We couldn’t have done it without your passion, dedication, and hard work.

We wish you a good winter somewhere in Austria, Argentina, Zagreb, London, Venezuela or where ever you go. We can't wait to have all of you back in spring!
