Good BBQ serves up traditional Chinese BBQ (siu mei) fresh from our own workshop. Fresh, Fast & Fit

Good BBQ’s workshop has been serving traditional Chinese bbq (siu mei) to local residents for more than 30 years. Signature dishes include crispy pork belly, “Slow Cooked” char siu and boneless poached chicken. Adhering to tradition while modernizing the way siu mei is consumed, Good BBQ pairs traditional Cantonese roasties with home made kimchi and other side dishes.

Starting next Monday, our TQS branch will only provide cutlery upon request. This change is part of our ongoing efforts to reduce single-use wastes (plastic or not) and promote sustainability. Perhaps as a tradition HK BBQ shop with meat as the main menu offerings, we can never be the perfect poster child for ESG. But between maintaining the balance of our food traditions and sustainability initiatives, there are still a lot we can do. Any and all actions will have an impact to our sustainabilty.

We are enormously delighted to receive HK 30 Best Eats 2022 Creative Siu Mei Award from the Loop.

While conscious of and respecting traditions, Chef Sandy Keung and her team bring in modern cooking techniques and sustainability concepts to "re"-create our beloved siu mei fit for the modern audience. Introduction of nutritional information; commitment to not using any MSG or artificial coloring; combining western and traditional siu mei cooking techniques to get the best of both worlds; partnering with Impossible to offer a lower carbon option; etc are only some innovations we made. There are many more initiatives we have planned and are excited about. But most importantly, we are proud and grateful to be part of this cultural heritage and iconic food history of Hong Kong!
