Mott 32

Mott 32 Mott 32 is one of the most awarded Chinese restaurant brands in the world.
(4611)

Located in the basement of the Standard Chartered Bank building in Central, Mott 32 Hong Kong is open for lunch, dinner, after work and late-night drinks, Monday through Sunday. Mott 32 is named after 32 Mott Street in New York. 32 Mott Street was the site of NYC’s first Chinese convenience store, which opened in 1851, and was the nucleus for what is now a vibrant Chinatown in one of the most dyna

mic cities in the world. Our contemporary Chinese restaurant located in the heart of Central is a celebration of Hong Kong culture and cuisine. The provenance of ingredients is paramount to us and we embrace unique flavours discovered globally. We practise ethical sourcing using organic and sustainable ingredients where possible. We work closely with farms, never compromising the quality of the ingredients that our culinary team present. Our chefs use the latest in modern and innovative cooking techniques from around the world. Our restaurant’s cooking is principally Cantonese with some signature Beijing dishes and some of the best Szechuan food in central Hong Kong, bringing the most out of traditional recipes passed down from generation to generation. This particular level of modernity combined with the respect for tradition is what makes Mott 32 so spectacularly unique.

The story behind our signature serve...

Anna May Wong was the first Chinese-American actress to achieve international success in Hollywood.

Named in her honour, our Anna Wong cocktail brings together tangerine peel-infused gin, osmanthus honey, lemon and egg white. It's bright, floral and elegant in equal measure.

Whether enjoyed before dinner or alongside the Celebration Duck, it's often where evenings shared with family and friends begin.

A classic, reimagined.

Bamboo charcoal pastry gives these Wagyu puffs their striking fine stripes, while black pepper adds warmth without overpowering the richness of the beef inside. It’s a favourite from our dim sum menu.

Each year, Chef Lee looks forward to mushroom season.

With prized wild mushrooms arriving from Yunnan for just a few weeks, the menu follows the harvest, from Black Tiger Paw Mushroom and Hand-Picked Shredded Chicken to the Matsutake Mushroom Ice Cream Puff, each dish reflecting his approach to balancing regional tradition with contemporary Chinese cooking.

For many guests, a first visit to Mott 32 begins with the Celebration Duck.

Our Apple Wood Roasted Peking Duck is served in two parts. The first eight cuts are paired with steamed bao, caviar and gold leaf before the rest of the duck is carved at your table and served with delicate pancakes and traditional accompaniments.

Complete the experience with the Anna Wong, our signature cocktail inspired by Hollywood pioneer Anna May Wong – and a Mott 32 favourite. With family and friends in town over the summer, it's a pairing made for sharing.

Some dishes deserve a grand entrance.

After the first serving, the Celebration Duck returns to your table, where it’s prepared for the next course in front of your guests.

If it’s your first visit, start with two of our signatures.

Begin with the Anna Wong cocktail before gathering around the Celebration Duck – our take on classic Peking duck, served with caviar and finished at your table. If you’re showing friends or family around Hong Kong this summer, it’s a meal made for sharing together.

The Story Behind the Season

For just a few weeks each year, nature writes the menu.

From 1 August to 15 September, Mott 32 celebrates one of China's most anticipated culinary traditions with our Seasonal Yunnan Wild Mushroom Menu.

Known as the Kingdom of Fungi, Yunnan is home to more than 800 species of edible wild mushrooms. Unable to be cultivated, these remarkable ingredients are hand-foraged from pristine mountain forests and, in many cases, air-shipped to preserve their exceptional freshness.

Discover eight seasonal dishes, including South Australian Scallops with Wild Termite Mushrooms, Black Porcini with M9 Wagyu, and Braised South African Abalone with Wild Mushroom Clay Pot Rice, each celebrating a different variety of Yunnan wild mushroom.

Available for lunch and dinner until 15 September – just in time to share the season with family and friends.
