Don’t get bothered when someone is SHOCKED by your prices. They’re simply demonstrating how much they don’t know and don’t understand. That’s all. They don’t do what you do, so how could they possibly know? Yes, of course there is common sense. But common sense is not that common unfortunately. The way people think proves whether they know something or not. The words that come out of their mouth tells you whether they know something or not. So the question is, WHY would you let yourself be affected by someone who just doesn’t know? There’s no need for you to explain or justify your prices to anyone. If someone wants to know WHY you’re charging what you’re charging, all you need to ask them is “If I explain it to you, THEN will you order?” You’ll get the same response I get…. silence. See, you could explain it to them, but you can’t understand it for them. So don’t waste your time explaining or educating when it won’t bear any fruit. Don’t ever second guess yourself. Your many years of experience and the mastery of your artistic skill is all you need to justify your prices to YOURSELF. Nobody else! YOU KNOW. That’s more than enough to not be unsettled, rattled, or upset. Remember, a custom cake is a luxury, not a necessity. A necessary cake is Walmart. You are not Walmart my friend. Honor the gift given to you by God. Value your work, and your time. Love you and peace out.💓
